Update on the thief on the cross

I had written about how the placement of a comma can change the meaning of what Jesus said to the thief. Either Jesus told him today that he would be in paradise, or that he would be in paradise today.

I was listening to a podcast yesterday that was talking about this without mentioning the placement of the comma since the original Greek doesn’t have any punctuation. I could feel myself getting upset, but kept listening. Although the podcaster didn’t mention the comma, he did mention where Paul says “… absent from the body, present with the Lord.” (2 Co 5:8). That tells me that the thief was in paradise on that day.

I’m at work on my truck so will update that page when I get home. It’s just easier from my PC than on my phone. 😇
