Digital Missionary

Over the last month, I’ve been thinking about what it means to be a digital missionary. There are different thoughts on this from what I’ve seen.

Some are brick-and-mortar churches that are more interactive in their social media outreach. A lot of churches just stream their service intending it for their members who are traveling so they can keep in touch.

More churches get more involved and live stream to reach those who aren’t able to attend church because they are homebound for some reason. Others just won’t go to church because of all the hypocrites. Whatever the reason, a livestream could be their only exposure to a church.

For me, I had this urge to put my notes and thoughts online to share something that may pique someone’s interest and maybe they would get involved in a church in some way.

I have several avenues in trying to expand in. First is this blog about 153 fish, which I’m in the process of revamping soon to line up with the KJV Bible as a result of what I’ve found in the way of patterns that are only in the KJV.

I also have my version of Noah’s Ark built in Second Life. It also has links to each encounter from this blog, as well as The Math Path.

I’m also going to include my study that I’ve been doing on Hell once I get it posted, which will have connections to my study on the Olivet Discourse. Seems like a strange connection, but it’s making sense to me so far.

A lot of what I’ve been studying goes against the majority view, but I’m not a huge fan of majority views. The path is narrow after all… The Judean Jews had the majority view and ended up getting Jesus crucified. The disciples of Jesus, the minority in Jerusalem at that time,Β  are the ones with the correct view.Β

The challenging part is finding the correct view. And even if we chose the wrong view, as long as we believe that Jesus died for our sins and was raised from the dead,  we are saved and inherit eternal life. That’s when we will find out how wrong and/or right we were.

Just be chasing after God’s heart, just as King David did.

  1. I think being a digital missionary is a good thing. You can extend your reach very far. For example, while I don’t have many subscribers, the readers that do visit are from all over the globe. At the same time, we need to encourage people to go to church in some way. St. Paul urges his readers to gather together, which is not the habit of some. Small group Bible studies are a great way to grow mutual support if people don’t like formal church settings. 😊
