Taking another look

I’ve decided to take another look at my list. I’ve learned some new things and may be combining what I thought was two people, but is more like two instances of one. One possibility is that in the parable of the rich man and Lazarus, this is referring to Lazarus, whom Jesus raised from the dead.

I may also be changing some references, like the disciple whom Jesus loved. I’m leaning towards him being Lazarus, and not John, one of the sons of Zebedee. THere’s a lot of clues that point that way. I came to this conclusion after reading The Disciple Whom Jesus Loved (www.tdwjl.com).

Another good book on that was The Beloved Disciple, by Vernard Eller. (http://www.hccentral.com/eller8/index.html)

So yes, I am doing more research on my list.

  1. Way to go, Jim! My first impression about Lazarus, was, “Hmmm, don’t know about that,” but I haven’t researched it at all, so can’t speak intelligently about it. Will have to investigate…

Merry Christmas and I think 2025 may be a better year than 2024, in general. Hoping and praying…
