Matthew 9:27-31
And Jesus passed on from there. Two blind men followed Him, calling and saying, “Deal kindly with us, Son of David.”
And coming to the house, the blind men came to Him, and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.”
Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith, let it be done to you.” And their eyes were opened, and Jesus strictly charged them, saying, “See, let no one know.”
But going out, they spread His fame in all that land.

These two men first used a Messianic title for Jesus – “Son of David”. So Jesus took them inside to perform this miracle privately. After the miracle, Jesus told them to tell no one. I’ve read commentaries that say they disobeyed Jesus and told everyone. As I was thinking about this encounter, it dawned on me that maybe they didn’t tell anyone. The mere fact that these two known blind beggars could now see was how they spread the fame of Jesus.
