Matthew 8:2-4, Mark 1:40-45, Luke 5:12-16
And it came to pass that while He was in one of the cities, behold there was a man full of leprosy. And seeing Jesus, he came to Him, calling on Him, and he worshiped Him. And kneeling, and falling on his face, he implored Him saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” And moved with compassion, He stretched out His hand, and He touched him, and said to him, “I am willing. Be clean.” And immediately, as soon as He had spoken, the leprosy left him. He was clean. And Jesus ordered him, and He sternly warned him, “See that you tell nothing to anyone, but go, show yourself to the priest, and present the offering for your cleansing, just as Moses commanded for a testimony to them.” And He immediately sent him away. But he went out and began to proclaim much, and to spread the word round about. And the word about Him was spreading even farther, and great crowds were gathering to hear and to be healed [by Him]T of their sicknesses, so that Jesus was no longer able to openly enter into the city, But He was retreating outside in desolate areas. And they came to Him from everywhere.
