I was emailing Gary Demar about some questions I had and mentioned my thoughts on the 153 fish in John 21:11. He pointed me to a couple links that go into more details, which I am going to summarize in my new page.
One thing I found quite interesting is that there 2 other large numbers mentioned in the New Testament – the 276 people saved from shipwreck in Acts 27:37, and of course 666 in Revelation. Both these numbers are also triangular numbers. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that all 3 large numbers are triangular numbers. More on that in my upcoming Math Path Extension page…
